DESCRIPTION: EPW - Albert H. Potter & Co, Geneva, lever chronometer with day register, 50mm, 18K gold original Albert H. Potter & Co signed OF case with trademark balance wheel logo inside rear, small Jurgensen-style lips, glazed observation cover over mvt, bow with chain guards, white enamel DS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, 20-21J, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#611. Gross weight of assembled watch 75.1 dwt (116.8 g). An excellent example of this renowned top maker's work, Albert H. Potter was born in New York in 1836 though the majority of his watchmaking activity took place after his emigration to Switzerland in about 1875.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good day register function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered micro-fine scratches and some small surface spots, some oxide to portions of steelwork, fine scratch striations to escape wheel cap; dial with hls within day register, tiny flake above center hole of day register, seating of day register with small traces of glue excess indicating it has been re-secured, very small surface nick at perimeter near 9; excellent hands; case shows little wear, no dents or dings; tight bow, crown shows light wear with small ridge break; good glass crystals.
